Would you be interested in working in a TV and hi-fi store? Your knowledge and sales ability would both give you a great opportunity.

Richer Sounds is a superb place, brilliantly managed and run. I was fortunate to hear their Chairman speak recently and he was inspirational. I'm also a happy customer.

The electrical section of John Lewis might do it for you too. Both of these employers have almost unlimited opportunities for the best people.

Good luck.

Two issues:

- The size of the display. A smaller screen does not show as much difference as a larger display or a projector.

- Source: A BluRay disk from a BluRay player using a HDMI cable is true HD. But it is really easy to THINK you are looking at HD but you are looking at standard def. Using a SVideo cable, a TV station in HD but showing an old movie is up-converted and does not look so good. A DVD in a BluRay player is also up-converted.

First off you did not do any research before jumping to your purchase and you let the salesperson do the guide to the product they store wants to sell you. Also you did not mention what brand and model of products you purchased. DVD player have a resolution of 480P and have 5.1 surround sound when connected to a receiver. The blu ray disc player is at 108P and have 7.1 loss less audio, but you must use the HDMI cable. Component cable (3 RCA jack at one end with 3 colors is for video connection and can handle up to 720P, for audio you need an optical cable to get the surround sound. If you have a tv that is smaller than a 46" you are not going to see a difference between 720P and 1080P. 480P are available in dvd only, 720P are tv programs that are in HD if not they are at 480P, 1080P are from blu ray disc movies and some video games only. Listening to the tv between dvd and blu ray, you are not going to hear any difference in sound quality. HDMI cable are all the same, it is the material they use is the difference, if you purchase a bargain price product and purchase a high end cable does not make any sense. The same thing goes when buying speakers. Go online to home theater magazine and read the reviews by experts on anything you want to know. Hope this will help you out.

With the size in question you wouldn't notice the HD difference, most PS3 games will be absolutely clear in 720. I'd go for the Argos one, you could get your tv mount at the same time for half price too. The additional guarantee Argos offers also is much cheaper (same length of time and covers accidental damage too).
And as said before Argos also come with the one years warranty as standard if you don't want to pay any extra.

ive seen thos umc brands and i wouldnt buy it cause its a cheap brand, but so is bush. i wouldnt think the umc is true hd 1080p but if it said that on the box then it must be. on such a small screen you wouldnt really notic the diff of 720p to 1080p.

dell do have a true full 1080p hd 24' monitor that has hdmi plug in for ps3.you can read wot others have said about it and its supposed to be decent. but no freeview, but you could buy that freeview adaptor for ps3 called playtv for that. id go with the dell cause its known and cost 243£ shipping and handling included. go to the dell site and look under electronics then 23' widescreen and up monitors.

the bush is only 1680x1050 which is wot my 22' samsung monitor is and i played ps3 on it and the image of the movies and games were strecht to fit so they will look abit off.but the bush looks cooler than the umc.

i just lookt at the umc and it does have full 1080p so id go for that umc if you wernt into the dell. after all does a few more inches matter lol.it does for me but maybe not for you.
